News from Church Planting efforts in Texas!

Over the past six months God has been opening up new windows of opportunity for church planting in Texas. This includes continued work in Bryan, TX and new developments in North Dallas.

The Living Way RP Mission Church of Bryan/College Station, TX has entered into a new phase of work. On April 14th weekly morning worship services began. Chaplain Jonathan Leach, Colonel in the Army Reserves, will serve in Bryan for the next six months, providing preaching and on-site leadership for the group. This will take place in a leased facility fully renovated for just this purpose. For Dallas, please pray for:

• Seed families and individuals to commit to the work

• Conversions through the preaching of God’s Word

• Sufficient finances to fund the work

• The Bryan Commission and Rev. Jonathan Leach as they take responsibility for weekly preaching

Dallas – A group of five families has petitioned the Midwest Presbytery to start a new congregation in Dallas. These families have come to know and love the Lord and the RP church from a variety of avenues. One providential aspect to this opportunity is that one of the families is that of Mark Koller, a new pastor in the Midwest Presbytery. Rev. Mark Koller joined the RPCNA at the fall 2012 meeting of Presbytery. He came to us having been convinced of the distinctive principles of the Reformed Presbyterian Church and wanting to minister according to those convictions. He and his family live just outside Dallas, TX. Most recently, Mark had served in Texas working to plant a church while also holding down a full time job in a medical laboratory. When he joined the RPCNA, Mark moved his membership to the Stillwater, OK congregation and has enjoyed time of fellowship and mentorship with them.

Given this open door for ministry in Dallas, the Presbytery has pressed ahead to explore whether the Lord would have us establish a church in the north Dallas area. One important recent development is the beginning of weekly, morning worship services on May 5th. For more information, visit http://dallasrpf.org/
